Japanese tradition holds that Ama has been practiced only by women for maybe 2,000 years.  Wearing just a loincloth and mask they free-dive in the ocean searching for sea urchins, octopus, shellfish, pearls, and other fruits of the sea.  They are real and can still be found in some remote coves on the coast of Japan.

This is the first print of series inspired by these women, titled "Ama".
